The Goal Was Never to Find Faults

One of the best things a school leader can do is spend time in classrooms.

Not to look for what's wrong.

Not to catch mistakes.

Not to complete a checklist.

But to stay connected to the work.

When leaders spend time with students and teachers, they gain a deeper understanding of what support is needed, what's working well, and where growth can happen.

The goal of classroom visits shouldn't be evaluation.

It should be learning.

Learning from teachers.
Learning from students.
Learning how we can better support both.

The most effective leaders don't walk classrooms searching for faults.

They walk classrooms looking for opportunities to encourage, support, and help people grow.

Because when teachers feel supported, great things happen for kids.
